MEMPHIS c.1926

    ...The City of Opportunity

This book was published by the Memphis Chamber of Commerce around 1926.   They spell it out in the book, "Our efforts are devoted to the development of every phase of commercial, educational, industrial, civic, and social life of the city - whatever benefits Memphis".   If it is "The City of Opportunity", you can imagine that the book will present all that is good about the city , and there is a lot of good.  What sets this book apart is that it features a photo and history of each of the major buildings.

< Sincere thanks to George Whitworth, Memphis Attorney-Historian, for allowing us to scan and post his book
