"Dear Ole
Humes" is a collection of memories, opinions, and photos from class
members of the Class of 1953, Humes High School, Memphis, Tennessee.
The editor
and guiding force behind this 6" x 9", 182 page book was Rose Howell-Klimek.
After her Class celebrated their 50th Anniversary, it was clear to
Rose that something very special was needed for their 55th Reunion.
This book was that "something very special" and became a labor of love
that took her almost 5 years to complete. It's a priceless book
filled with much love for a famous school that only exists now in
memories. At their 55th Reunion in 2007, the class sold the book
and made enough profit to give contributions to the MIFA, Church
Health Center, and Humes Junior High.
