Suzanne Boushe Minotto:  "As a native Memphian, having grown up there in the fifties I have just had more fun with all this history! I lived near the Rosewood during that era and my friend and I would walk there on Saturdays where we'd spend the day for .25 cents, snacking, watching two double features, a serial, cartoons, and the news! Those were the days! Also I do remember going to the Royal (below) and I promise you, the admission was 9 cents. I feel certain I'm right about that. No, we'll never forget entering the theatre and having to look over your shoulder to see what was on the screen. I was almost holding my breath to see if you had included two of my favorite haunts, and there they were back to back!  ...By the way, the seats at the Rosewood were red velvet".
